
The Sabah State Government has sealed a deal to give Qhazanah Sabah Berhad the exclusive rights to spearhead the telecommunication infrastructure statewide.
The agreement will see Qhazanah Sabah Berhad through its subsidiary, Common Tower Technologies Sdn Bhd (CTTSB) as the State’s sole developer, provider, operator, and maintainer for telecommunication infrastructures fibre optics and submarine cable.
CTTSB is one of the largest independent tower owners and operators in Malaysia. The company owns, operates, and manages 257 telecommunication towers in Sabah following its appointment as the ‘State Backed Company’ to undertake the TIME2 Project in Sabah since 2005.
As one of the Nation’s largest providers of professional site development services to telecommunications industry, this agreement will ensure CTTSB to have the privilege to strategically further improve the digital divides in Sabah.
