YBhg. Datuk Ahmad Rizal Dahli was appointed as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Qhazanah Sabah Berhad on 1st of October 2019 bringing with him a 20 years wealth of experience. He is also sitting in a number of Qhazanah Sabah Berhad’s subsidiary and associate companies. Prior his appointment, YBhg. Datuk Ahmad Rizal was the Head of Projects and Business Development of which he was responsible for all the existing business portfolios, on-going and new business ventures.
YBhg. Datuk Ahmad Rizal began his career as an Operation Executive with Malayan Banking Berhad in November 1996 before being assigned to Commercial and Corporate Banking in May 1997. Thereafter, YBhg. Datuk Ahmad Rizal took the role of Senior Executive and rose to become the Manager and subsequently the Associate Director heading the Regional Corporate Banking, Sabah & F.T Labuan since January 2011. He was responsible in growing the business for the banking group which consists of an extensive array of specialties namely corporate and project financing, syndication and club deals, insurance and takaful, advisory and financial solution, legal documentation, clients and authorities’ relationship, budgeting, sales and marketing and all other aspects of business and project requirement. His main coverage was Government Link Companies, Listed Companies, their subsidiaries and associates inclusive of their overseas investment in various industries which includes property development, infrastructure, IPPs, trading, manufacturing, oil and gas, financial institutions, vessels and shipping, oil palm plantation and oleo-chemical, timber, hotels, investment holding, IPO financing and others.
YBhg. Datuk Ahmad Rizal is an alumni of SRJK Stella Maris, Tanjung Aru and Sekolah Alam Shah, Kuala Lumpur and graduated with Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Holborn College, London. He obtained his professional accolades namely Certified Credit Professional in 2005 from Institute Bank Bank Malaysia.
