Yayasan Qhazanah Sabah (YQS) continues to play a vital role in driving community transformation through Program KASIH 2025, a collaborative initiative with a group of Sabahan Online Distance Learning (ODL) students from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

Held at Pusat Pendidikan Bayu Raudhah, Putatan, the initiative titled “KASIH 2025: Komuniti Asnaf Sejahtera dengan Inspirasi Membina Pendidikan Holistik” was part of a community development and welfare subject under UUM’s ODL curriculum for the current semester.

The half-day programme aimed to uplift and empower Asnaf children aged 12 to 18, focusing on holistic education, motivation, and personal development. A total of 50 children took part in the programme, supported by 8 UUM student facilitators, 8 representatives from YQS and Qhazanah Sabah Berhad (QSB), and 2 officers from the Women & Children Sexual Crimes Investigation Division (D11) of Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM).

Programme highlights included an inspiring motivational talk by Associate Professor Dr. Mardzelah Makhsin of UUM, a sexual harassment awareness talk conducted by Insp. Florence Ansikit of PDRM, and a special integrity awareness segment led by Encik Mohd Haziq bin Murshidi from the Integrity and Governance Unit (IGU) of Qhazanah Sabah Berhad.

The event concluded with a symbolic handover of in-kind donations to the participating children by YQS’ Executive Director, Puan Majorie Noivont, as a gesture of continued support for them.

This collaborative effort reflects YQS’s commitment to holistic community empowerment and highlights the impact of partnerships in nurturing the next generation through education and values-based development.
