We Care, We Share: QSB and WH Medicare Participated in Collaborative CSR Program in Meligan

Qhazanah Sabah Berhad (QSB), through its subsidiary WH Medicare Sdn Bhd (WHMSB) has participated by contributing medical supplies and food items during "Kem Perubatan dan Pergigian bersama Mahkamah Bergerak", on top of joining forces with governmental organisations such as Mahkamah Bergerak, Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN), Unit Bergerak Khas Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Sabah (JKNS), as well as various non-governmental organizations (NGO) including Majlis Kanser Nasional (MAKNA) and Sabah Pharmaceutical Society.
During the CSR programme, free comprehensive health and dental check-up services were offered to students and villagers in Meligan, Sipitang some 211km away from Kota Kinabalu. This initiative is part of QSB's ongoing commitment to give back to society, particularly in rural areas via its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
The 2-day CSR program which was held between 11th to 12th August 2023 at Sekolah Kebangsaan Meligan enabled the local communities to undergo check-ups to detect tuberculosis, breast cancer, dental and general health from dedicated healthcare professionals.
Additionally, the program which was held in conjunction with 'Program Mahkamah Bergerak Daerah Sipitang: Daftar Lewat Sijil Lahir Bil.2/2023' garnered immense support from the community, with around 210 villagers participating as the event provided a convenient platform to help the locals solve late birth registration certificate cases with Mahkamah Negeri Sabah, eliminating the need for extensive travel.
QSB Chairman, YB Datuk Dr. Yusof Yacob, along with Group Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Rizal Dahli and WH Medicare Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Annie Tseu, were present at the event to directly engage with the community and oversee the program's operations. QSB is delighted to have had the opportunity to participate in this event and contribute to the society in rural areas. We remain optimistic that this impactful initiative will significantly benefit the villagers of Meligan.
