Chairman Yusof Yacob Determined to Transform Growth of QSB Group

Datuk Dr Yusof Yacob has been appointed as the new Chairman for Qhazanah Sabah Berhad (QSB) since January 13th earlier this year, aims to transform the State Government-Linked Investment Company and its people.
In his first annual address as the Chairman at QSB Group Town Hall Session, he conveyed his key strategic direction to employees and board members across the group to assist QSB’s metamorphosis towards being an effective asset for the state.
He stated that the company has a lot of potential and can grow further, but the main thrust should be good corporate governance, which must be practiced at all levels of QSB.
The company should focus on its investment pipeline that aligns with the aspirations of the state, to create a significant spill-over impact to alleviate the socio-economic level higher than what it is, Yusof stressed.
He also added that, QSB’s role as strategic economic partners to the State will undoubtedly brings the need to empower the local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and youth community.
