FREE ELECTRIC BUS SERVICE IN KK THANKS TO QHAZANAH SABAH

City folks will be able to experience the future of comfortable and ‘clean’ public transportation for free with the inauguration of Sabah's first electricity powered bus service soon.
The eBusKK service is being undertaken by Qhazanah Sabah Berhad (QSB) as part of a six-month pilot project during which the public can enjoy rides around Kota Kinabalu City beginning with a route between Sepanggar and Menara Kinabalu in the city’s downtown area.
QSB Group Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Rizal Dahli said the pilot project will run four days a week from Monday to Thursday between 8am and 5pm for free. Public advised to check the eBusKK social media accounts for the latest updates.
Feasibility studies will be conducted during this pilot run to assess the sustainability of an electric bus service in Sabah. The study outcome will pave the way for a detailed and overall planning of future eBusKK services.
