SABAH MUST FOCUS ON ATTRACTING HIGH-QUALITY INVESTMENT

Qhazanah Sabah Berhad (QSB) Chairman, Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Salleh Said Keruak believes that Sabah must focus on attracting high-quality foreign and domestic investment by materialising various investment strategies and policy initiatives amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Salleh, who was invited as one of the speakers at the Sabah International Business and Economic Summit (SIBES) conference here on Monday (Jan 17) noted that in effort to transform Sabah into a competitive economy the State must increase its productivity level by developing more high-value downstream activities and creating new industries through collaboration with active private sector.
Also present to discuss the topic titled “Putting the Wind Back in Sabah’s Sail: Reviving Opportunities, Investment and Jobs” are Managing Director cum Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Malaysia Abrar A. Anwar, Chairman of Jawala Inc Datuk Jema Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Sabah Tourism Board Noredah Othman and Managing Director cum Chief Executive Officer of Sabah Development Bank Datuk Vincent Pung Yee Kiong.
